The management philosophy is based on Five Pillars of TQM – Management Commitment, Customer Satisfaction, Mitsubishi standard quality , Quality Systems and Continuous Improvement ,Statutory Compliances – which rests on the foundation of the Total Employee Involvement Program, Daily Management .
The Total Employee Involvement Program
- Participative management – A process in which subordinates share a significant degree of decision-making power with their immediate superiors.
- Representative participation – a system in which workers participate in organizational decision making through a small group of representative employees. The two most common forms representative participation takes are works councils and board representatives.
- Quality circles – a work group of employees who meet regularly to discuss their quality problems, investigate causes, recommend solutions and take corrective actions.
Daily Work Management
Daily work management consists of defining and monitoring key processes, ensuring that they meet set targets, detecting abnormalities and preventing their recurrence. MVDE encourages continuous improvement in all aspects of work, using Cross Functional Teams (CFT), Quality Circles (QCC) and suggestion schemes.
Keizen Activity
Kaizen is a lean manufacturing tool that improves quality, productivity, safety, and workplace culture while using employee creativity to help define the way procedures and systems can be improved. Kaizen focuses on applying small, daily changes that result in major improvements over time.
A single brain sometimes is not capable of taking critical decisions alone. An individual needs the support and guidance of others to come out with an effective solution. When individuals come together on a common platform with a common objective of accomplishing a task, a team is formed. Ideally the team members should be from a common background and have a common goal to ensure maximum compatibility. The team members must complement each other and work in close coordination as a single unit to deliver their best. Kaizen Helps to Improve Team work. As they say “There is no I in Team Work”, every individual must think of his team first and the personal interests must take a back seat.
Employee Satisfaction
Kaizen helps improve employee satisfaction by inviting workers to look at processes and systems so they can make suggestions for improvement. Becoming involved adds to an employee’s sense of worth and satisfaction on the job while helping to implement the new ideas. A suggestion system or using team meetings to find ways to improve quality or processes gives employees a method of bringing up their ideas and further refining them in a group setting. Another benefit of this system is increased productivity, because workers become more involved with the decision-making process and want to see their suggestions work.
